Interacting with Chart
Individual charts on the dashboard can be customized. The following options are available:
- Refresh
- Sort
- More (Menu)
Refresh
Click to update/revert the chart to the default view.
Sort
Sort lets the user arrange the data in the selected chart. It can be arranged alphabet-wise (A to Z or Z to A) and numeric-wise (Min to Max or Max to Min). To use sorting, follow the instructions below:
- Click the sort icon.
- Click Select Field to Sort.
- Choose the sort option.
- Choose sort order.
- Click Apply.
Chart Menu
To use menu options, click the menu icon.
The following options appear:
- View in Full-Screen: View KPIs in full screen for a better understanding.
- Examiner: Deep examine KPI for better business decisions.
- Share: Share the chart with other users and groups.
- Alert: Track goals by creating alerts.
- Quick Compare: Compare KPIs for a better understanding.
- Grid View: To change the chart into a grid.
- Export: Download the chart.
- Chart Type: Change the chart to a different chart view (Pie, Line, Bar, Column)
View in Fullscreen
View in Full-screen mode is available for charts to view all the attributes and measures in full screen for a better view and understanding.
- To open a chart in full-screen mode, Click the three dots on the top right of the chart.
- Click on View in full screen.
The following options are available in Fullscreen mode: –
- Minimize Fullscreen – To exit Full-Screen Mode.
- Refresh- To refresh the chart.
- Sort – Sort out the chart according to opportunity.
- Export – to export the chart.
Share
Click Share to annotate and share views and chart results with other users. To share a chart, complete the following:
- Open Chart Menu.
- Click Share.
- Choose options to annotate the chart. The following options are available:
- Select Share type. We can also perform several annotations on the shared dashboard like as we can see on the left side:

- Line
- Rectangle
- Circle
- Pen
- Text box
- Undo action
- Redo action
- Delete annotations

- Select Share type. We can also perform several annotations on the shared dashboard like as we can see on the left side:
- For Information Purpose: Lets others view your inference/analysis.
- Action May Be Needed: Lets others know action may be needed based on your analysis/inference.
- Keep an Eye: Let others track the information before any issues happen.
- Click the + to Share with Team Members.
- Use @ to add names.
- Use # to add groups.
- Click the + to Add Comments as needed.
- Click Share
Alert
The user can set up automatic alerts for specific KPIs in the chart. The user selects the frequency of the alert.
To set an Alert, follow these steps:
- Open Chart Menu.
- Click Alert.
- Select the element on the chart that you want to be alerted about.
- Click the drop-down arrow to Set the condition.
- Type an alert value.
- Click the Occurrence option.
- Choose a Schedule end date.
- Click Set Alert.
- A success message is displayed.
Note: Share with Team Members is an optional field. Click the + to add names or groups.
- Use @ to add names.
- Use # to add groups.
- NOTE: The user is notified when an alert is sent in the navigation bar. Click the icon to open the notification.
Quick Compare
Quick Compare lets the user analyze a fixed set of dimensions and measures in different scenarios. For example, the performance of specific KPIs over different timeframes. Users can analyze scenarios in a single window rather than toggling through multiple windows or charts. It allows an encompassing picture of the KPI against the target and a little knowledge of where the problem may be. This method shows quantifiable results that show the company’s execution against its goals.
To Quick Compare, complete the following:
- Open Chart Menu
- Click Quick Compare in the chart menu.
- Click + Add Comparison.
- Click Filters.
- The Filters screen opens.
- Choose filters.
- Click Apply.
- Click + Add Comparison to add additional charts.
- Click the arrow to return to the dashboard.
Export
Export lets the user download the chart. To Export, complete the following:
- Click Chart Menu.
- Click Export.
- Choose either Image, PDF, Excel, or CSV.
Examiner (Information View)
The examiner lets the user explore or analyze the chart’s specific part(s). To use Examiner, complete the following:
- Click Examiner.
Highlight
To highlight one or more parts of the chart, complete the following:
- Open Examiner.
- Click Highlight.
- The button changes to blue.
- Click one or more elements in the chart to highlight the element(s).
- Click again to remove the highlight.
