Charts play a powerful role in business intelligence by helping organizations make sense of complex data, support better decision-making, and clearly communicate insights to stakeholders.

In Lumenore, users can choose from a variety of chart types, selecting the one that best aligns with their KPIs and specific analysis goals.

Charts offer several benefits:

  • Simplified Visualization of Complex Data: They provide a straightforward representation of intricate data, making it easier to spot trends, patterns, and outliers. This simplification aids in informed decision-making.
  • Expedited Insight Identification: Charts facilitate the rapid identification of insights and anomalies within data, enabling prompt responses to market changes and adaptable strategies.
  • Enhanced Communication of Information: They effectively present complex data clearly and understandably to stakeholders, fostering improved collaboration and decision-making.
  • Enhanced Flexibility and Interactivity: The ease of interactivity empowers users to explore various aspects of business performance and derive deeper insights.

To create a chart in Lumenore:

Step 1: Click on the Dashboard tab in the left panel and select “Create New Custom Dashboard.” You can also access the Dashboard tab directly from the home page. From Self-Service Page.

Step 2: Enter the dashboard name, choose the schema according to your needs, and table. Then click “OK.”

Step 3: Select at least one measure and attribute for creating a chart.

Step 4: Click “Chart Type,” then search and select the chart that suits your requirements.

Step 5: Users have access to the following functions:

  1. Title: Give a title of the chart in the provided box.
  2. Data Limit: Set a specific limit for the data in the chart/table.
  3. Custom Insights: Custom insights are user-tailored analyses and visualizations that enable users to create personalized reports beyond standard offerings.
  4. Save: Save the chart by clicking on the file icon.
  5. Additional Options: Duplicate the chart in a new tab or reset to revert all changes to default settings.

Step 6: You can convert the values from the y-axis to the secondary axis or switch them to vice versa.

For instance, if you wish to designate the Sum (Profit) to the secondary y-axis, click on the Sum (Profit) and choose the secondary y-axis option. The Sum (Profit) is now positioned as the secondary y-axis, labeled as y-axis2.

Likewise, depending on your requirements, you can use various measurement functions, such as sum, count, average, etc.

Step 7: You also have the option to drag attributes into measures to obtain the count for that specific attribute. Once that attribute’s count becomes the measured value, it can be further utilized to plot against any other attribute.

For example, dragging the “state” attribute to the measures will display the count of states.

Similarly, you can drag the measure to the attribute section.
