Role Management

In the Role Management section, users can view and manage roles, including details such as access type, creation date, permissions, and configuration settings. Additionally, users can add new roles, assign users, enable or disable role privileges, and delete existing roles.

+ New Role: To create a new role, fill in the following details and click “Save.”

Click “+New role.”

  • Role Name: Enter the name of the role you want to create.
  • Access Type: Define the level of access granted to users:
    • Admin: Provides full administrative rights.
    • Viewer: Grants permission only to view content.
    • Super Admin: Provides elevated access rights, possibly to configure settings or oversee roles and permissions.

  • Permissions: Define the actions the role can perform based on the organization’s requirements. These permissions can be assigned to various roles to manage access levels and authority.

  • Role List: Displays all created roles. Clicking on a role to view details such as user information, creation date, configuration, and role privileges.

  • + Add User: Clicking on “+ Add User” for a specific role allows the user to add a new user.

To add a user, click “+ Add User,” select the desired user from the list, and click “Submit” to confirm.

  • Edit Configuration (JSON view): A JSON configuration for user role management.

Explanation of the configuration options:

  • licensePanel: Controls whether the license panel is visible or accessible.
  • askme: Allows the user to interact with a conversational analytics feature.
  • adminPanel: Access to the administrative panel for the user.
  • collaboration: Allows the user to collaborate with others, possibly on shared projects or reports.
  • sharing: Ability to share resources like dashboards, reports, or data with others.
  • threshold: Limits or triggers actions based on certain thresholds (e.g., data limits or performance metrics).
  • dashboardExport: To export dashboards from the platform.
  • datalayer: To interact with or modify the data layer within the system.
  • datapipeline: Access to the data pipeline functionality to configure or manage data pipelines.
  • export: To export data from the system.
  • pptExport: To export data as PowerPoint presentations.
  • selfService: To manage their own settings or configurations without requiring admin intervention.

Note: Set to true to enable the feature, and false to disable it.

Role privileges: The privileges options include Ask Me, DYK, and DYK Panel, with toggle options to activate or deactivate them for each role.

Delete role: To delete the role from the system.
