Amazon Redshift is a fully managed, petabyte-scale data warehousing service in the cloud. It is designed for high-performance analysis of large datasets and provides advanced analytics capabilities. The Redshift connector is a software component that enables integration between Redshift and other tools, applications, and data sources.

  • Through the Amazon Redshift connector, the user can access the data in real- quickly. It is a pure RDBMS that contains a single database.
  • The Redshift connector allows seamless connectivity between Redshift and various data processing frameworks, programming languages, and analytics tools.

To use the Amazon Redshift connector in Lumenore:

Step 1: Open Lumenore > Select Self Service from the top panel, then click Connect your data.

Step 2: The Dataset Connector window will appear; the user can search and select the connector per the requirement.

Here search Redshift.

Step 3: The Redshift connector will appear. Click on Connect.

Redshift: In the Redshift connector, the data loads into the Lumenore database, then the user can create insights.

Redshift Live: The user can directly run a query from their database; it is faster and more feasible than Redshift.

Step 4: The user has to enter the following:

  1. Port
  2. User
  3. Password
  4. Database

Then click Test Connection; the connection details are valid pop-up will appear, then click “Next.”

Step 5: Select the columns; the data preview can be viewed from the bottom Preview Table Data, then click “Save.”

Step 6: Save Dataset window will appear; the user has to enter Dataset Name and Description(optional), then click “Ok”.

Step 7: The dataset will be uploaded, then click on “Create Schema.”
