Schema Management

Estimated reading: 2 minutes 420 views

Schema Management controls and organizes the structure of datasets, i.e., how data tables, fields, and relationships are defined within each dataset.
It allows administrators to:

  • Manage, edit, or delete schema structures.
  • Associate schemas with datasets.
  • Control sharing and access permissions.
  • Create dashboards or AI insights from schemas.
Column Description
Schema Name of the schema (e.g., EPFO 4 table schema-schema, Real Estate V1). Each schema represents a defined structure or data model.
Created by The user who initially created the schema.
Current Owner The current person is responsible for managing or updating the schema (ownership can be transferred).
Dataset The dataset linked to this scheme shows where the schema is being applied.
Created on Date and time when the schema was created. (Note: one date here seems incorrect due to a formatting bug — Oct 13, 54988, likely a system error.)
Modified on The last date and time the schema was updated or changed.
Shared with Shows who the schema is shared with (users or teams).
Action Provides a dropdown menu of management options explained below.

Other Features:

  • Search bar: Quickly find schemas by name.
  • Download button (top-right): Export the schema list for reference or backup (e.g., CSV or Excel).

Action Menu (Three Dots)

  • Share: Allows administrators to share a storyboard or dashboard with other users through multiple platforms, including In-app, WhatsApp, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Add Users: Use @ to mention individual users and # to tag groups when sharing via In-app or WhatsApp.
  • Teams Sharing: Select a pre-configured Teams channel to share the dashboard or storyboard directly within Microsoft Teams.

  • Assign Access: It transfers dashboard ownership. Specifically for assigning a new owner to an Insight Dashboard storyboard.

Type of Access

You can choose how the existing owner’s access changes after transfer:

      • Current owner access will be revoked completely: The old owner loses all access (can’t view or edit).
      • Current owners will have view access only: The old owner will still be able to view the dashboards but cannot edit or manage them.

Action Buttons

    • Cancel: Aborts the ownership transfer.
    • Assign: completes the ownership change with the selected settings.
