Dashboard Insights
Insights involve creating descriptive and explanatory narratives derived from data analysis. They aim to provide clear and understandable explanations of complex data patterns or trends, using storytelling elements to convey insights.
Within Lumenore, you’ll find three options available under “Insights”:
- Custom Insights
- AI Insights
- Guided RCA
Custom Insights
It empower users to design their data views by selecting relevant metrics, dimensions, filters, and visualization types. This feature is ideal for those seeking complete control over their analysis and wanting to generate insights aligned with specific business questions or reporting goals. Users can analyze trends, compare segments, and apply custom aggregation logic. Once created, these insights can be saved and reused for future exploration.
These are pre-established templates that summarize data analyses chosen by the user. They include trends, correlations, outliers, forecasting, change, and top-bottom analyses. Developers can create these templates, which are accessible to viewer users.
Click on “Custom Insights” and select the KPI.
AI Insights
This feature utilizes AI to provide critical observations and recommendations for individual charts. It clarifies events, identifies trends, highlights significant changes, and suggests possible actions to business users. Viewer users can generate insights directly, enhancing their understanding of the data more intuitively.

Guided RCA (Root Cause Analysis)
This is a step-by-step diagnostic tool that helps users investigate the underlying reasons behind a metric’s performance change. Whether there’s a spike, drop, or stagnation in key performance indicators like sales or orders, Guided RCA breaks down the data across multiple dimensions—such as region, brand, product, or time—to identify the most impactful drivers. It benefits decision-makers who want a clear, structured explanation of business performance deviations.
Using the tabs, users can easily switch between AI Insights, Custom Insights, and Guided RCA at any time, allowing them to explore data from different angles without losing context or reloading the dashboard.
